"Cutting Edge Technology in the
Field!"
Use GPS and handheld GIS units to collect
data in the field, then analyze and model the data back at the
University. Field work on individual projects and retrieval of
available topographic and other supporting GIS data will lead to
production of a professional level database and maps relevant to a
current environmental issue. See course
description for more thorough information.
Definitely
appropriate for geology, biology, ESR and anthropology majors, as
well as others interested collecting field data.
